KING'S ENGLISH (11) is a very well-bred colt making his debut, and he should be ready to rumble after a strong placing in a recent Te Awamutu trial with today's jockey Opie Bosson in the saddle. Hard to beat. FEEL THE STAG (1) has made a bright start to his career, and he improved significantly from a fourth on debut to finish third over 1200m at Wanganui, just 1.5 lengths behind the winner. His early pace can counter the wide draw, and he is expected to perform well again. DALMATIAN COAST (3) hasn't raced since his March 30 debut over 1400m at Tauranga, where he finished fourth, beaten by 5 lengths. With that experience, he can improve quickly this season. GOSSIP (6) came close to maiden success before a six-month break, ending her last campaign with a minor placing over 1400m at Matamata. She started her previous prep well, placing at Pukekohe over 1200m, and has shown promise in a recent trial. Each way claims. DON'T TELL RACHEL (7) has a good gate and can spice up any combos.
