DE GRANDHOMME (1) was ridden quietly and never threatened when resuming over this distance at Ascot a fortnight ago. Lightly raced three-year-old who scored second-up last prep at Bunbury. Looks the one they have to beat. SNIPER'S SON (3) is knocking on the door with three consecutive minor placings, the latest over 1100m at Narrogin where he was strong late. Very fit gelding who can go one better with the senior rider engaged today. PINGERS (6) is a promising filly back from a four-month spell. Opened last prep with a commanding win over this distance at Albany. Just needs luck from a tricky draw to be right in the finish. Consistent four-year-old HEZANGELIC (2) returns from a twenty-four-week break. Trialled well at Lark Hill recently and looks set for a positive return. FIREY PANZ (10) is a non-winner but recent efforts suggest a top-four finish is on the cards.
