WAR COLOURS (11) was ridden quietly from a wide barrier before working home okay to finish fifth when resuming over 1200m at Ascot last start. An extra 100m on a roomier track is the ideal second-up scenario. Looks the testing material. COSTA STAR (8) gave away a big start but found the line with gusto to get up for fourth when resuming over 1200m at Ascot a fortnight ago. Looks to be back in good order and should be highly competitive. BIG KARRI (5) raced handy but felt the pinch close to home when resuming over 1200m here recently. Better for that hit-out and with the aid of the inside gate he looks a genuine hope. STRYKER'S GAL (7) wasn't far away when resuming on the inner track here on 16 April. Honest mare with each-way claims. IN YOUR CORNER (13) is a lightly raced filly with scope to improve on her decent first-up performance.
