Tricky race. TAMETOMO (13) has been out of the winners' stall for over 12 months but he finds a winnable race here. He gets in on the minimum and is suited over 1600m at this track. BLUE SPECIAL (2) was scratched at the gates last week after being well backed. He was plain last start but a couple of his prior runs would go close in this grade. BY THE BOOK (6) is a progressive mare that was doing her best work late over 1400m last week. Milnes goes on and the rise to 1600m looks suitable. She can be in the finish. COVERT WITNESS (8) needs everything to go right but she's got ability, while FLEURIEU FLIPPER (3) races well here and is open to improvement.
