PICTOR (17) has not appeared since coming from the clouds to be beaten a whisker by subsequent stakes winner Grand Prairie on debut over this trip at the Kensington track nine weeks ago. Nicely drawn and McDonald goes on today. Perfectly placed to make a successful return. CURIE (13) met with good support on debut last start over 1100m at Gosford but lacked the turn of foot of the quinella runners. Needs this extra trip and from a good draw will get all the favours. CHATTERLEY (3) last appeared when a respectable fifth in the Listed Bill Carter over 1350m at Doomben in May. Two recent trials should have her ready for a strong return. SHANGRI LA BOY (14) is the pick of the first starters. Half-brother to Storm Boy by Pierro for Gai and Adrian. Plenty of trial experience so he should be ready to go. PANOVA (10) was an eye-catcher at Wyong on debut - one to watch for late in proceedings.
