CAVALLO RED (2) is building nicely this time in work, finishing behind a big winner fresh before a 0.6L defeat last start after being slowly away. It's been a while between drinks, but he's right on the cusp and he's placed in all 3 third-up attempts. Pike replaces the 3kg apprentice and he looks the one to beat. SAULOK (3) was solid first-up on the back of a nice trial in a CL3 at this track, beaten 1.9L. The wide draw is a query, though he has shown good early speed in the past. Better for the first-up effort and with improvement likely, he can go one better this time around. URQUHARTS BLUFF (6) led them up last start at Belmont and couldn't hold them off, beaten 1.5L. Right up in trip now which is intriguing, but he's racing well and he won't be far away. ACROSS GENERATIONS (8) resumes without a trial but was a first-up winner last campaign and is not to be discounted. PLAYING QUEST (4) won't be far away first-up with two trials under his belt.
